Laure Brovelli, winner of the first “Hyatt Best Student of the Year Award”

Laure Brovelli, winner of the first “Hyatt Best Student of the Year Award” for best student in Hotel Management

Laure Brovelli, 27 years old, French nationality, in her second year of the MBA in International Hospitality Management at IMHI, ESSEC Business School Paris-Singapore, is the winner of the first “Hyatt Best Student of the Year Award” . The panel was overwhelmed by her maturity.

The aim of Michel Jauslin, Regional Vice-President of Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, was to highlight not only the best student in management, but also to focus on studies which are not very well known by the general public. “In architecture”, he said, “the Pritzker Prize is awarded by the Hyatt Foundation. I thought we could also have a prize for hospitality management which suffers from a lack of recognition. We need performing management schools and this prize highlights a student, a school, and the Hyatt group where young people can start their career. I would like to point out that Hyatt is not part of the awarding panel”.

Gebhard Rainer, Managing Director Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Europe, Africa and Middle East, Michel Jauslin and the panel congratulated Laure Brovelli who made a strong impression on them. Hospiality has no secret for her. She was born in it as her father is the Vice-president of the Intercontinental Group in Polynesia. Once she graduates, she wants to find a post as Room Division Manager in a resort, preferably in the US.

For the 7th year in a row, IMHI Ranked N° 1 among Hotel and Tourism Post Graduate Degrees in France

The MBA in International Hospitality Management, offered by the Institut de Management Hôtelier International (IMHI), has been ranked Number 1 among Hotel and Tourism Post Graduate degrees in France.

The ranking was established by  SMBG, a consultancy specialised in higher education. SMBG based their ranking on interviews with both graduates and recruiters. The results are validated by a Committee which includes a representative from the French ministry with special responsibility for research.

Three key criteria are retained for the ranking: recognition of the programme, salary on graduation, and satisfaction of the graduates.
