ESSEC MBA: internships and assignments

A specific program of internships in Japan for Japanese firms is offered to 35 students each year. Student association and NGO assignments can also be validated, based on a specific procedure. In certain cases work in student clubs of a humanitarian or social entrepreneurship nature may count as professional experience.

Internships in Japan

This unique program starts with a cultural integration seminar in Hirakata, followed by professional work lasting 3 to 12 months in Japanese firms. It has inspired over 1000 students these past 20 years.

Following intensive language courses at ESSEC, the students chosen have the chance to discover the economy and local culture in host families.

Association work and NGOs

Assignments in ESSEC student clubs, and humanitarian or social entrepreneurship missions in NGOs, can also be recognized as professional experience by the School administration.
Such experience cannot exceed six months at the most of the eighteen months of professional experience required to graduate. There are specific requirements for these options.
